Virtual “Camp-in” Gala

We are grateful to everyone who supported our virtual gala this year as we continue to innovate and keep our programs open!

This year, our virtual gala featured a variety of Christodora students, alumni, and friends sharing the impact our programs have had in the past year and beyond. As pediatrician and Christodora alumn puts it, “we have the skills to survive the Covid-19 pandemic […]. One of the first things I did was to remind myself of the healing properties of nature, and that for my mental and physical health it was important that I get outside and connect with the rivers and trees.”

We also presented a video sharing our virtual programming and all the hard work and creativity our educators have devoted to keeping our programs open and engaging. We highlighted our important partnership with MS 118, one of the many schools we are able to work with. Assistant Vice Principal Sandi Baer remarks, “Our students don’t always have the opportunities that other students have that go to schools with more resources, and Christodora has provided an opportunity for our students to literally touch science.”

Making the evening even more special was our engaging host John Leguizamo, and a campfire story from Judge Reinhold.
